(01)How I buildSame bones, different bodies

How Ibuild.

Most of what I make has the same skeleton. Here it is, with the real choices from two projects: one that needs every layer, and one that skips most of them on purpose.

The skeleton — with real choices from

  1. L01→FrontendReact · Vite · Tailwind
  2. L02→APIHono on Cloudflare Workers
  3. L03→DatabaseCloudflare D1 (SQL)
  4. L04→AuthJWT via WebCrypto · role-based access
  5. L05→InfrastructureCloudflare's edge
  6. L06■DeploymentDeployed on Workers

Frontend → API → Database → Auth → Infrastructure → DeploymentInfin8 Access, under the hood →

The loopEvery project, every time

  1. 01→IdeaSomething bugs me.
  2. 02→PrototypeThe ugliest version that proves it.
  3. 03→BreakIt breaks. It always breaks.
  4. 04→DebugMost of the job, honestly.
  5. 05→IterateVersion two knows what one didn't.
  6. 06■ShipReal people, real use.

Five rules I actually follow

  1. 01ShipA working system beats an imaginary perfect one. Get it in front of people, then argue about it.
  2. 02DebugThings breaking isn't the interruption. It's most of the job.
  3. 03Learn by buildingI pick up a technology when a problem needs it — not to put it on a list.
  4. 04Keep iteratingFirst versions are rarely the final versions. Mine definitely aren't.
  5. 05Make it realReal users, real data, real constraints. A campus, a business, a satellite — not another to-do app.
